On Sunday, April 22, Molly McCue took the oath of office as the 2018-19 State President of the Virginia C.A.R. in a ceremony conducted just a short distance from the final resting place of Gen. & Mrs. George Washington at Mount Vernon.  Miss McCue will lead a state-wide fundraising project to sponsor Colonial Williamsburg’s Building Detectives program at the Robert Carter House during the summer of 2019.

Just a few minutes later, Michael J. Elston was sworn in as the 2018-20 Senior State President of the Virginia C.A.R.  Mr. Elston, a past president of the Virginia SAR, is Virginia’s first male Senior State President and the father of Honorary State President Emily Elston.
